The Format: Graph dialog box allows you to modify the look and feel of your report graphs.
The following options are available:
Graph Styles:
Graph Type: Select the graph style to apply to a report. You must have a certain number of objects on your report for most graph styles. For details, see Minimum object requirements for each graph style.
Graph Sub-type: From the drop-down list, select the style sub-type.
Maximum:
Categories: Specify the maximum number of categories to display on the graph. (The category is usually the Y-axis on a graph.) An example of a category is a bar on a bar graph. For instance, to display 4 bars on the graph, type 4.
Series: Specify the maximum number of series to display on the graph. (The series is usually the X-axis on a graph.)
Other:
Use font anti-aliasing: Specify whether to improve the text on graphs. This setting will sharpen zoomed images so that they are more readable.
As an Administrator, you can also access the following settings in the Other category:
Use curved lines: Specify whether or not curved lines are used in graphs that contain lines such as Line and Area graphs. By default, straight lines are used in Line and Area graphs.
Apply rounded effect to all series: Determine if a glossy, rounded effect is applied to the graph series in Graph view in Desktop and Editable, Interactive, and Express Mode in MicroStrategy Web. In Flash Mode in MicroStrategy Web only, a more distinct rounded and glossy effect is applied to the graph series. If you already applied a gradient effect to the graph series using the Format dialog box, the colors you chose there are still applied to the graph.
